Your Privacy Matters

At Dumb Alarm, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

The short version: We don't collect, store, or share any of your personal data. Everything happens on your device.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal information from you. We don't require you to create an account, and we don't track your usage or behavior.

All your alarms, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage systems. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.

AI Processing

When you use our AI assistant to set alarms, your text inputs are processed using Google's Gemini AI service. These interactions are:

  • Processed securely through encrypted connections
  • Not stored permanently by us
  • Not associated with your personal identity
  • Subject to Google's AI privacy policies

We send only the necessary information (your alarm commands) to process your requests. No other personal data is transmitted.

Subscriptions & Payments

If you subscribe to Dumb Alarm Pro, all payments are processed directly through Apple's App Store. We never see or store your payment information.

Apple may share your subscription status with us (active/inactive) so we can enable premium features, but no financial information is transmitted to us.

All subscription management, cancellations, and refunds are handled through your Apple ID settings.

Permissions

The app may request the following permissions:

  • Notifications: To deliver alarm notifications
  • Microphone: For voice commands (if you choose to use this feature)

You can revoke these permissions at any time through iOS Settings. The app will still function with limited capabilities.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Apple App Store (for subscriptions and payments)
  • Google Gemini AI (for natural language processing)

These services have their own privacy policies:

We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they handle data.

Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used our app, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and on this page.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
